Over the past week, the electric vehicle market recorded a notable highlight as VinFast unveiled a new lineup of electric motorcycles across multiple segments.
VinFast has officially completed its three-segment electric motorcycle portfolio and simultaneously introduced seven new models, including three premium models and four sport-oriented models. The premium lineup focuses on lifestyle-oriented experiences and refined design, with commercial launches expected from late 2026. Meanwhile, the sport models clearly reflect VinFast’s ambition to compete directly with traditional gasoline-powered motorcycles.

The global electric vehicle market is becoming increasingly competitive.
In Europe, Volkswagen surpassed Tesla to become the best-selling electric vehicle brand in 2025, highlighting the intensifying competition among automakers. Meanwhile, in markets such as Norway, Tesla is facing growing pressure from both European and Chinese EV brands, resulting in a significant decline in sales.
Specifically, in January 2026, Tesla’s sales in Norway dropped sharply to just 83 vehicles, nearly 90% lower than the same period last year. In contrast, BYD recorded strong growth in battery electric vehicle sales, achieving increases both quarterly and annually.
