REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS

By the end of 2023, around 145 countries have announced or are considering a “net zero” emissions target, accounting for nearly 90% of global emissions. Vietnam’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction target for 2030 is to cut national emissions by 43.5% compared to the business-as-usual (BAU) scenario, with no new coal power projects being developed. By 2035, total greenhouse gas emissions are expected to peak, with a gradual reduction in coal power capacity after that year. By 2050, Vietnam aims to achieve “net zero” national greenhouse gas emissions.

GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS

Green building standards are becoming more widespread and popular globally as a solution to the increasing negative human impact on the environment, such as global warming and climate change.

The Green Building Standards system serves as a foundation to:

  • Assess the performance of buildings
  • Certify environmental compliance through a third party
  • Facilitate integrated design and construction processes
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations
